German Jugendstil Dining Chair Attributed to Ludwig Paffendorf

About the Item

This exceptional Jugendstil chair attributed to Ludwig Paffendorf is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and historical authenticity. Made from solid mahogany with a transparent lacquer finish, it boasts a meticulously restored upholstery that stays true to the original design. The seat features a flat horsehair padding, while the backrest is padded with kapok for luxurious comfort. A highlight of this remarkable piece is the golden-yellow silk damask, intricately reconstructed based on historical findings, featuring the elegant "Raspberry" motif.
