Hollywood Regency Brass Gold and Glass Dining Set with Carson's Armchairs
About the Item
Absolutely fabulous Post-Modern gold colored metal and glass top dining table with four seafoam green armchairs. This set 5-piece Nineteen-Laties dining set is simply stunning. The luxuriously comfortable armchairs are well padded and have cozy barrel backs. The chairs look especially elegant from the back view. The upholstered form extends all the way to the floor creating a dramatic waterfall effect. The premium glass top features beveled edges with chopped corners. The glass and gold metal frames beautifully reflect light, like a jewel. This group is sold as a complete 5-piece dining set with the table and four chairs as pictured.
The table top is clear glass.

Dining table: 56” Long x 40” Wide x 28” High
Condition: Dining chairs have originally upholstery and have been steam cleaned. Upholstery has some slight fading along the front of the seats. Gold table and chair frames have some minor wear. Glass is original and may have some scratches. No chips on glass.

We are pleased to present this swanky dining set. This combo is everything we love about the 1970s aesthetic in one package! The chairs are by Daystrom and the table by Bassett Mirror Company.. Both companies have brought us some fabulous designs in the mid-mod period, and this marriage falls right in line with that legacy. 70's glam meets futuristic modern in this four seat dinette set. The table base is crafted curved tubular chromed steel in a unique and captivating flowering lotus pedestal style. The smoked glass hexagon top is dripping with swag on top of the hand-polished chrome glimmer. This gently used table still has its original hang tag and bumpers for the glass.

Vintage 1980s black and white Neo Deco dining set. The luxurious black marble pedestal base features striking white veins and fields of mystical taupe-gray. It’s almost as if a thunderstorm was captured in stone. Dynamic white bands streak through the blackness like lighting bolts in a storm darkened sky. The 1980s enjoyed an Art Deco revival which came to be known as “Neo Deco.” This dining set is a prime example of the Neo Deco zeitgeist. The graduating arches on the chair backs emulate The Chrysler Building’s crown… an Art Deco architectural icon. The marble base’s silhouette is also informed by Art Deco architecture. The table has been updated with a newer 48″ diameter round glass top. No worry of stains on these vintage white seats. The previous owner was meticulous. In fact, the chair seats were still covered in the original plastic when we acquired the set.
The base itself is a work of art, beautifully exhibiting the tenants of post-modern design. It is both decorative and simple. The designer has arranged slabs of sumptuous black marble in descending size, emanating from the center. This array of slabs cumulatively form a diamond shape when viewed from the top.
