Set of ten dining chairs, solid pine, papercord, Italy, 1970s
Solid pine chairs from 1970s Italy with a rustic appearance. Their defining feature is the sculptural backrest, composed of two wavy horizontal slats, joined by a central vertical element. This fluid, almost whimsical form softens the otherwise sturdy, geometric structure. Thick, rounded legs support the seat and impart the design with a grounded feel. The paper cord is meticulously woven, adding textural warmth.
