Japanese Antique Black Chairs, Primitive Wooden Chair, Wabi-Sabi

About the Item

A jet black dining chair. The carefully carved frame gives off a sense of elegance, and the magnificent joints show the high level of craftsmanship. Compared to a typical dining chair, it has a smaller contact surface, but the recess in the center of the backrest provides firm support for the back. The seat is made of a single board with cuts on both sides, and the two-layered board is sandwiched between the top and bottom of the seat frame, allowing it to move slightly due to the bending of the wood. This allows the seat to sink slightly when you sit down, giving you a comfortable seating experience that wraps around your buttocks. In addition to the straight lines, the deep black color creates a sophisticated and modern look. We can also offer a set of two chairs. Our craftsmen have carefully repaired it and revived it as furniture to be passed on to the next generation. It is an antique in good condition, but there are small scratches and slight distortions other than those shown in the detailed images. Weight: 3.8kg / per piece - About Us - Based in Japan, we reinterpret high-quality Japanese furniture from the Taisho period, a fusion of Western culture and Japanese craftsmanship, and upcycle it into "modern Japanese furniture." Each piece is carefully repaired by a skilled craftsman, and reborn as furniture to be passed down to the next generation. We deliver beautiful and functional Japanese furniture that will be loved for generations to come.
