About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely suite of six original Dutch circa 1860 Ladder back rush seat dining chairs.
A very good looking and well-made suite, the timber is all solid oak, the seats the original rush woven straw, these are timeless masterpieces in their simplicity that have been made for centuries and will continue to be made.
In terms of the condition, we have lightly cleaned waxed and polished the frames, they will have normal patina marks from honest use and genuine age. Some of the rush seats have been secured with slim pieces of timber around the seat edges, others haven't
