About the Item
Chair with straw seat. With a shield-shaped backrest, typical of the Hepplewhite style, popular at the end of the 18th century. The backrest features curved vertical slats that converge towards the center, creating a light and refined design. The structure is made entirely of solid wood, with a dark finish, and the seat is made of woven straw, a traditional artisanal technique that provides comfort and ventilation. The front legs are straight and slightly tapered, while the rear legs have a slight curve for greater stability.
The piece has elegant lines, ideal for creating classic, colonial or eclectic environments, and can be used as a side chair in living rooms, halls or bedrooms. Although it shows signs of age and small flaws in the finish, its structure is intact, making it an excellent candidate for restoration or use.
