Portuguese Louis XV Style Dining Chair
About the Item
Louis XV style dining chair. With a cut-out back, worked with shell-shaped carvings centred on the top and a hollowed-out backrest with a symmetrical lacy design. The front legs are cabriolet-shaped, elegantly curved, ending in a simple roll that reinforces the fluidity of the whole. The front of the seat structure has a wavy cut-out and a central shell notch, in harmony with the backrest motif. The chair has no seat, revealing the internal structure that allows us to see the solid, handcrafted construction.
This chair reflects elements of 18th century European decorative tradition and is an excellent base for restoring or complementing interiors with a classical or eclectic aesthetic. Ideal for integrating dining rooms or any other prominent spaces, due to its decorative value when upholstered.
