Portuguese Set of Eight Dining Chairs
About the Item
Set of eight dining chairs. In carved wood, with a neoclassical structure. The backs have an upper cut-out with a slightly arched profile, a protruding frame and geometric carvings, showing the decorative taste of the second half of the 19th century or early 20th century. The seat and backrest are upholstered in mustard-colored velvet, fixed with metal studs that accentuate the contour of the structures. The front legs are turned and grooved, ending in small cylindrical feet, while the back legs are simpler, slightly curved for greater stability. The lower crossbars reinforce the solidity of the set.
This set combines decorative elegance and comfort, reflecting a classic and functional bourgeois aesthetic. Ideal for integrating into traditional dining rooms or environments that value the sobriety and refinement of historic lines.
