Sabrina Brass Chairs Limited Edition by Giorgio Rinaldi for RIMa Padova 1970
About the Item
This extraordinary and rare set of "Sabrina" chairs is the most exclusive and expensive version produced in a limited edition by RIMa of Padua in the late 1970s. Designed by Giorgio Rinaldi in collaboration with his brother Gastone, these chairs stand out from the many versions on the market due to their solid brass structure, rather than the more common chrome finish. The frames bear the RIMa company stamp impressed directly into the brass.
The seat cushions are fixed (non-removable) and upholstered in a beautiful petrol green velvet, which remains in excellent condition with only minimal signs of age, as shown in the photographs.

Giorgio and Gastone Rinaldi were two Italian designers with a significant impact on the design scene of the 1970s. Working in close collaboration, they created numerous iconic pieces, including the "Sabrina" chair set for the company RIMa Padova. Their aesthetic often reflected the clean, modern lines of the era, with a unique flair that set them apart from other contemporary designers.
Craftsmanship and attention to detail were hallmarks of their work. Giorgio and Gastone Rinaldi left a lasting mark on the Italian design landscape through their talent and creativity.
RIMa (Rinaldi Industria Mobilio & Affini), founded in Padua by brothers Giorgio and Gastone Rinaldi, was an important company in 20th-century Italian design. Characterized by an innovative approach and artisanal attention to detail, RIMa produced iconic furniture that blended modernism, elegance, and high-quality materials such as brass, steel, and suede.
Giorgio and Gastone combined creativity with technical expertise, creating distinctive pieces such as the "Sabrina" chairs, which became symbols of 1970s Italian design. These chairs, made from solid brass and upholstered in velvet, embody the excellence of Italian craftsmanship.
Although the company ceased operations following the decline of artisanal production, its pieces are now highly sought after by collectors, a testament to the value and legacy of the Rinaldi brothers in the history of Italian design.

Located in Conversano, IT
Stunning and rare set of "Gallery" chairs, designed by Umberto Asnago and Ambrogio Pozzi for Centro Ricerche Giorgetti between 1975 and 1980.
This particular version of the Gallery collection is especially rare. The line featured various pieces inspired by Eastern aesthetics and early 20th-century design, and these chairs - reminiscent of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's iconic silhouettes - are currently the only known examples available on the market.
They feature a strikingly high backrest, geometric elegance, and a balance of architectural presence and refined comfort. The combination of black lacquered ash wood and velvet upholstery gives the chairs both visual depth and tactile richness.
Please note: These items are in a very good vintage condition. Minor signs of age may be present but do not affect its functionality. We kindly ask you to consider these characteristics prior to purchase.
