About the Item

Set 6 antique French carved oak dining side chairs renaissance lion floral. Direct from France, a gorgeous set of six antique French dining chairs. Ornately carved, with large crown featuring a center medallion flanked by rampant lions. Large finials mounted on carved blocks to the top of the turned baluster stiles. Open carvings around the arched top chair splat with center floral upholstery edged in brass tacks. Chair seats done in same upholstery, lovely for any French country room! Turned legs and cross stretchers for stability and support. Wonderful set, sturdy chairs, lovely condition. Well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1900. Measurements: 44” ht. x 17” x 16.5”. Approx. 19” seat ht. at the top of the upholstery. Approx. 15” across the chair back. NOTE: All of our antiques are direct from Europe.
