About the Item
Set of 10 Antique Italian Walnut Baroque Dining Chairs includes 2 Armchairs is a wonderful find perfect for larger families or those who love to entertain in style! Sculpted from solid walnut, each features a shield form design for the back, topped with cresting waves and bold scrollwork on the uprights. A complex contoured back splat with diamond shaped rosette provides a focal center point. The elegantly contoured armrests are padded, and embellished with carved scrolls on the ends, while being supported by barley twist columns. The columns continue below the seat spiraled in the opposite direction and topped with Corinthian-inspired capitals. All four legs are connected at the finely molded seat as well as via an "H" stretcher below for long-lasting strength. Bun feet complete the look. The 8 side chairs are smaller versions of the armchairs, without arms of course. The original upholstery has exceeded its useful life and needs to be replaced in your coordinating material.
