About the Item

This gorgeous set of 10 chairs was designed by famous Norwegian designer Alf Aarseth, and made by Gustav Bahus manufacture. It is catalogued as Model No. 146 - see attached picture from the original catalogue. The chairs are in very good condition after careful restoration - all wooden surfaces have been carefully cleaned and refinished with premium wood oil, which beautifully enhances the natural grain and warm tone of the wood. The seatings were reupholstered with high-quality eco-leather, combining elegance with durability while remaining faithful to the original mid-century design. The beautifully shaped frame is made of solid wood deep in color and has an impressive wood grain. The chairs are a beautiful example of simple and elegant Scandinavian Design yet still very comfortable and practical. A beautifully restored set, fully ready for everyday use — ideal for vintage-inspired interiors as well as contemporary spaces seeking a touch of Scandinavian mid-century charm.
