Set of 6 Niels Vodder Dining Chairs

About the Item

Denmark, ca. 1950s. A stunning set of six dining chairs attributed to P. Vodder for Niels Vodder. Each features solid teak frames with thoughtful construction that suggests these are most likely the work of a cabinetmaker - versus more standard factory production. Rear seat support, gently curved backrest, and elegant integrated handle very much bring to mind the designs of Finn Juhl or Arne Vodder - both of whom collaborated heavily with Niels Vodder. Professionally refinished, the frames are sturdy with a rich color to the teak. Accommodating seats and backs have been freshly upholstered in a soft - and durable - medium charcoal Danish wool from Maharam. Quite comfortable and beautifully made, this set is sure to become the focal point of any dining room. In mint condition and ready for immediate placement. Dimensions: 18.25” wide x 18.5” deep x 31.5” high; 18.5” seat height.
