This is a superior set of 8 vintage ladder back dining chairs. An English, oak carver and rush seat suite in Georgian revival taste, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980.
Appealing revival taste with a traditional country house form
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in very good, original order
Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and an abundance of medullary rays
Two carvers and six chairs with quality drop-in rush seats, each in good, taut condition
Six-rail ladder back redolent of the Lancashire style, held within tall supports
Serpentine arms to the carvers sit upon a turned and collared baluster support
Tapering front legs terminate in spherical bun feet, united with turned stretcher rail
Rear square section legs unite with each other, and the front pair with double rails
This is an attractive set of 8 vintage ladder back dining chairs, with a delightful Georgian country house aesthetic. Presented with quality rush seats and perfect for the larger farmhouse table. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
