About the Item

A most attractive and complete set of eight French turn of the century Louis XV st. honey oak dining/side chairs. Each elegant chair is raised by fine cabriole legs with their original brass casters at the front and decorated with richly carved scrolled acanthus leaves. The arbalest shaped frieze displays intricately detailed scrolled foliate designs centering a lovely floral seashell like reserve and set on a lattice background also repeated at each side. The upholstered back supports display mottled borders and elegant curved tops. Measure: Seat Height: 19.5".
