Set of Eight French Turn-of-the-Century Louis XV St. Patinated Dining Chairs

About the Item

A charming and very high quality set of eight French turn-of-the-century Louis XV st. patinated dining chairs. Each chair is raised by elegant cabriole legs with fine scrolled feet, richly carved acanthus leaves and corner foliate designs. Each leg is connected by a most decorative stretcher with fine curved designs, a mottled border, and a central carved rosette. The scalloped shaped frieze displays additional carved foliate designs centered by a charming and most elegant seashell reserve. The upholstered back support also displays a beautiful scalloped shapes with intricate floral and foliate carvings leading to a remarkable top reserve. All original patina throughout.
