About the Item

A well made, sinuous and very decorative set of eight dining chairs. Including two arm and six side chairs. They have tall carved backs and elaborate curved and scrolled crest rails with open trefoil motifs and tall openwork curved splats. The seats have a demilune leafy motif on the shaped skirt rail. They are raised on cabriole legs with carved leafy knees on front and slightly curved back legs with spandrels. All legs end in stylized hoof feet. With angular shaped side stretchers and arched front ones. The seats are upholstered in dusty blue pattern fabric with nail head trim. Dimensions: 48 1/2" high x 19" wide x 24" deep x 20" high seats Condition: Please review the detail photos. Various signs of age and use including: Two chairs with slightly lighter backs, some finish losses, nicks, rubs and a few dings with some finish losses at the joins and expected wear to the arms all mentioned for accuracy as the chairs retain a fascinating presentation.
