Set of Six Italian Early 19th Century Louis XVI St. Dining Chairs

About the Item

A wonderfully decorative and complete set of six Italian early 19th century Louis XVI st. dining chairs. Each side chair is raised by four square tapered legs with a gilt borders and gilt foliate scrolls at the top. The pierced backs are similarly decorated with foliate scrolls, centered by a pierced design with an urn of prosperity. The urns have a gilt socle and reeded gilt center, flanked by sky blue polychrome handles. The seats are fitted with cushions that can be tied at the back. All original gilt and polychrome finish throughout.
