About the Item
Sublime set of ten painted French dining chairs made in the country French provincial or Louis XV taste. The set consists of eight side chairs and two host fauteuil armchairs measuring 24 wide and by 23 deep and 41.5 inches high having 27 inch high armrests. The carved beech frames have an intentionally distressed painted finish with desert rose and pale grey accents over a matte cream colored background. The chairs have a classic French oval or cameo balloon back with floral sprays on the tops of the seat crests. The chairs are newly upholstered with a plush oyster grey fabric having a double welt border. Elegant, refined French style with gracefully curved aprons and arms. The serpentine seats are generous and supported by cabriole legs. The chairs are sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The muted tones are dreamy with a provincial aesthetic.
