Six 1920s French Art Deco Mustache Back Dining Chairs In Off-White and Green
About the Item
A traditional set of six 1920s French Art Deco dining chairs sourced from Provence, France. Expertly hand-crafted from solid walnut, the chairs feature the iconic mustache back distinctive of the Art Deco period. Each chair has been structurally revised and gently refinished, revealing a rich brown tone that beautifully highlights the aged wood beneath. The chairs have been newly upholstered in a soft cotton white Crypton performance fabric. A subtle herringbone texture with subtle sheen enhances both the seat and front backrest. Around the contour of the mustache, a jewel green version of the same fabric is used as an accent, outlined with single piping trim to further emphasize the sculptural form. The front back is clean-finished with an invisible hand-stitch. The back side of each chair is upholstered entirely in the jewel green fabric, framed with a cotton white band for contrast. The color palette of deep brown wood, soft white, and jewel green creates a striking, harmonious visual balance. Each seat is supported by gracefully hand-carved legs, showcasing excellent craftsmanship and traditional Art Deco styling. Solid, stable, and full of character, this set reflects the timeless elegance of early 20th-century French design.
