An exquisite set of six late 19th-century French dining chairs in the grand Louis XIII style, sourced from Provence, France. This well-balanced set includes four side chairs and two throne-style armchairs, each masterfully handcrafted from solid oak. The chairs have been structurally restored for stability, gently refinished, and newly upholstered in an elegant off-white and dark blue striped woven fabric. Stripe placement was carefully considered to highlight the graceful contours of the chapeau de gendarme backrests, lending a refined and tailored touch. The upholstery is clean-finished with a matching welt band trim on the back and accented with piping around the seat edges. Raised on classic "Os de Mouton" legs, the chairs showcase a rich, dark oak patina and are solid, stable, and distinguished by exceptional joinery.
