Six Dining Chairs in Louis XV Style
About the Item
Six Louis XV style dining chairs. In carved wood, of late 19th century French influence, high backrests framed by a curved profile and top cut-out with side volutes, carved central medallion, upholstered in damask fabric with a floral pattern in earthy and reddish tones. The seats are upholstered and fixed, rectangular in shape with rounded corners.
The front parts have a central shell carving and floral motifs, while the front legs are arched and have carvings ending in a snail, reinforcing the reference to the Louis XV style. The back legs are slightly arched and undecorated. Solid structure, with hidden lower reinforcement, suitable for use in the dining room.
The set strikes a balance between decoration and functionality, with the detailed joinery work standing out.
