A strikingly attractive, very rare and extremely comfortable 1950s ‘Americana’ style large black & white rocking chair in lovely condition. Likely made in the late 1980s/early 1990s, this beautifully sculptural large statement armchair will add smart monochrome colouring and chic Mid-Century styling to any interior.
Impressively sized and extremely comfortable, this large rocking chair features beautifully pronounced Art Deco influenced curves and has a generously sized seat, tall back and wide armrests. Ideal for relaxing in, it makes a great reading or gaming chair and with its fabulously bold 1950s-Americana retro styling, is sure to make an impression as a super statement lounge chair.
Upholstered in two-tone black & white padded and piped leatherette with a wonderful glossy finish, this fabulously stylish rocking armchair is perfect to relax in. Extremely rare, we’ve only seen one other previously on the market, so grab this beauty while you can.
CONDITION
This is in good-to-very-good condition. Structurally sound and extremely comfortable, it has rubber runners underneath for ease of moving and the only minor flaws are the odd hard-to-notice and to-be-expected minor nick, graze and mark to the upholstery. Overall it's a strikingly attractive rare chair in lovely condition and if well looked after it should remain just as impressive for decades to come – please see the photos.
