About the Item

1970s originally iconic set of vintage Ikea leather cantilever chairs with footrest ( Poäng by Noboru Nakamura ) in excellent conditions; these vintage items remains fully functional, even if they show the sign of age through small scratches, dents, faded finishes in leather, which however make it very fascinating. The leather has been with us clean and sanitized. Measures cm: H 44/95 x W 67 x D 80 - pouf H 40 x W 67 x D 55. ABOUT The "Poäng" is a great commercial success and an instant icon for Ikea. "Japanese designer Noboru Nakamura is the creator of the Poäng. He came to Ikea in 1973 to learn more about Scandinavian furniture–and there, he collaborated with Lars Engman, the director of design at the company. Scandinavian design doesn’t always have to originate in Scandinavia. POÄNG was actually the creation of Japanese designer Noboru Nakamura. Well into its fifth decade, the iconic armchair was originally created in 1972. Strong. Elegant. Comfortable."
