About the Item

Cattle horn furniture reached the height of its popularity in America in the 1880’s. This chair dates to around the last quarter of the 19th century. It is a fine example of American craftsmanship evoking the spirit and adventure of the Wild West. A truly genuine work of art, it is simple in form yet desirably beautiful. In our opinion, it is in very good condition given its age and use. The original patina of the horns is outstanding and it is this singular quality that makes this chair stand out. It is upholstered in a pleasant Navajo-inspired fabric that radiates beauty and charm. DIMENSIONS: Width: 27.5 in. (69.8 cm.) Depth: 30 in. (76.2 cm.) Height: 33 in. (83.8 cm.) Seat height: 17 in..
