Cushman Morris Style Reclining Lounge Chair by Herman de Vries Made in Vermont
About the Item
Voguish, chic and sophisticated reclining Morris style lounge chair, designed by Herman de Vries, for the Cushman Furniture Company, made in Vermont circa 1930's. The chair features an adjustable back support, which has three positions ( H 33- 24 inches ) . The sleek arched arm and low slung profile suggests speed and forward movement, a concept which was dominant in the modern movement circa 1930's.
This example is in very good, clean, original and ready to use condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age.
