Danish 1940's Easy Lounge Chair with Amber Shearling and Wooden Armrests
About the Item
Sublime lounge chair in the style of Viggo Boesen most likely made by Slagelse Mobelvaerk of Denmark sometime in the 1940s. This supercool low swung chair in unmarked but has the characteristic voluptuous organic design lines often seen in other of Boesen's chair designs for slagelse mobelvaerk. Very similar chairs are seen in Slagelse catalogs of the early 1940s. The chair is in overall very good condition showing appropriate age wear and patina to the wood remaining solid and sturdy. We have reupholstered the chair in amber shearling from Garrett Leather and refinished the wood lightly to maintain some of the original patina.
