About the Item
Distinctive black leather lounge or club chair with matching ottoman made in the English Regency taste by Schafer Bros. The chair features a mahogany frame with a round back and tufted chesterfield style back cushion. The generous seat has English rolled arms with a fitted loose seat cushion that is deep and comfortable. The matching ottoman and 2 front chair legs are tapered ending with casters. The chair and ottoman are decorated with patinated brass tack nail heads that stand out boldly on the soft, black leather. The chair is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Very good, well preserved condition with a desirable aged patina. From an estate in San Francisco, California. The ottoman measures 26w by 21d and 15 inches high. Sold as a pair.

- Condition:Repaired: old repairs. Wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery and construction. Age appropriate wear with minor chips and scuffs to finish commensurate age and use. One leg has been repaired, very difficult to see. Good vintage condition as seen in photos.
