High Back Bamboo Lounge Chair by Henry Olko for Willow Reed c. 1970's
About the Item
Exceptional high back peacock chair executed in orange painted bamboo, with original seat and back cushions. This voguish chair was designed by Henry Olko, and made by Willow and Reed Inc. circa 1970's. The chair features an exaggerated elongated cathedral form back rest, a generous wide seat, on an architectural X form base.
This example is in very good, original estate condition, showing only minor signs of age and use. Specific condition report as follows.
Structurally sound and sturdy, shows an inconsequential loss to wicker wrapping at bottom joint, cosmetic not structural ( please see images ) and the foam within the cushions has hardened, the fabric shows minor wear, but is still usable.
