Knoll Antimott lounge chair by Wilhelm Knoll, 1960

About the Item

A fantastic lounge chair with classic Scandinavian design lines, it's in excellent condition. The walnut wooden frame shows only minimal signs of wear at the foot ends. All joints of the wooden frame are solid, and the classic Knoll springs are in perfect condition. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in a vibrant blue fabric that's in excellent condition. The cushions are firm and give the chair a comfortable seating experience. The family-run company Wilhelm Knoll was founded in 1865 and quickly became known for its high-quality leather furniture. From 1925 onwards, Walter Knoll was an important representative of the avant-garde and focused on the production of Bauhaus furniture. The Knoll Antimott product line was developed by Wilhelm Knoll in the 1920s, and the first Antimott armchairs were designed for the lounge areas of zeppelins.
