This is a beautiful Modern cantilevered sofa designed by Lou Hodges for California Design Group in the 1970's. We have completely restored the frame to excellent condition. This couch has an incredibly dramatic shape. The beautiful oak frame is offset by the Maharam The soft cushions help accentuate the dramatic cantilevered profile of the chair. You will The makers mark on the front beam with name of original designer. Lou Hodges lounge sofas feature his signature floating frame design and encapsulate the cool, laid- back cool that were the 1970s of California Modern. Incredible design that is highly sought- after by collectors and design aficionados.
This chair would be an awesome addition to a boho or modern home, as a lounge chair in a contemporary or zen minimalism room. Transitional, Hollywood Regency. This chair would also work well in a commercial project in a lobby or in a hotel lounge area.
