This Scissors armchair set of two was designed by Folke Ohlsson for the Swedish manufacturer Bodafors in 1962. It has a scissor oak frame with eight slats on the backrest. The loose cushions have been re-upholstered in a high-quality gray textured fabric. The history of this project began in 1950, when Olhsson designed these armchairs for his DUX company. Timeless design, simple construction and high-quality aesthetics perfectly reflect the spirit of the Mid-Century Modern.
Folke Ohlsson was born and raised in Sweden. In 1953, he moved to the United States and founded DUX Incorporated, which was a huge success.
