About the Item

The structure of the lounge chair is made of marine plywood, which allows it to be made from a single cut, with an organic shape. the frame is cut into fluid, angular forms that convey both strength and lightness, with a profile that invites relaxation. he seat and backrest are composed of wide, interwoven leather straps, their warm, natural tone complementing the wood’s rich grain. The supple leather offers comfort while allowing the chair to flex subtly with the sitter’s body, and the meticulous weaving introduces a rhythmic, tactile surface. The braided leather moulds itself to the body, distributing the weight to different elements. It is considered an important piece in the history of Brazilian modern furniture design, and no longer a product with the ubiquity of plywood. The braided leather moulds itself to the body, distributing the weight to different elements. Literature: M.C. Loschiavo Dos Santos, L.
