About the Item
Mid Century Leather Sling G23 Hoop chairs by Piero Palange, A Pair.
Large on personality as well as footprint, these G23 chairs have been restored using a natural tanned leather that will darken with use. Originally, when this pair of chairs was imported from Italy, they were upholstered in a quilted floral sling fabric- definitely a unique choice but specific to the original owner, to say the least. The new leather slings show marks to the leather (detailed in photos) typical of this natural hide. With time the pink leather will darken and patinate with sun exposure and use- a beautiful process. Maple wood frames have been lightly touched up, but left largely unrestored to show age. Leather lacing on the sling seats can be tightened or slackened to desired comfort.
