Mid Century Lounge Chairs Czechoslovakia, 1965

About the Item

Vintage fiberglass TV chairs designed by Czechoslovak designer Miroslav Navrátil in the 1960s. The shell construction is made from fiberglass. The small pillow is removable, holding on leather straps. Chairs in good original condition.

Navrátil was born in 1913 in Moravian Boršice near Zlín. From 1927 to 1930 he attended a master school for furniture in Valašské Mezirící, then until 1935 the Czech State Industrial School in Brno. In Brno he also studied history at the local Masaryk University.
