About the Item

Ross Littell (1924-2000) was an American textile and furniture designer who did much work for such well-known manufacturers as Knoll and Herman Miller in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He later moved to Europe to design for other European furniture manufacturers including dePadova Italy. He designed the Luar PLR 1 lounge chair in the late 1960’s for ICF of Italy, a classic of mid-century modern design with its sleek and elegant flowing lines. The chair is made from solid brushed steel and interlaced brown leather strapping. It has a rich aged mellow and desirably original patina prized by so many collectors today.
