This extremely fashionable late 1960's / 1970's armchair is a complete stunner. It is a Swedish Lounge Chair by Scapa Rydaholm. On the bottom it has a sticker that reads "MADE IN SWEDEN". This extremely one-of-a-kind rare chair is way under market value for a chair of this caliber of this era because the upholstery is not perfect, and we highly recommend that the next owner and designer reupholsters this beautiful piece. What a super sweet shaped, chrome mid century lounge chair! And a great opportunity to reupholster it however you wish-- though the chic original vintage character may be just what you are looking for. This lounge chair features a gorgeous, unusual, sculptural chrome frame, and the original suede material upholstered cushions and armrests. This is a classic mid century modern lounge chair and will go perfect with many different decors from Mid-Century Modern to Post Modern to Hollywood Regency. Wear consistent with age and use. Overall good vintage condition, and comfortable padding still intact. This chair was well made. It would be incredible when reupholstered, but already looks great as is. Fabric does have a couple of marks and imperfections, as pictured. Authentic.

Excellent Prop piece, or a Living Room, studio or office POP! This listing is for the White chair. We also have a Black chair, sold separately, pictured here. The RMIC hand chair made its first appearance around the year 1970. The spectacular chair is made of plastic and shaped like a giant hand with its palm turned upward, while the fingers serve as a backrest. Originally, the hand chair was designed in 1962 by Pedro Friedeberg, a then 24 years old surrealist artist. Friedeberg artistic sensibilities were decisively directed against everything conventional, and he was inspired by the Dadaistic practice of producing anti-art for art's sake.
