Stunning and rare pair of original period 'Elettra' lounge chairs by the famous ground breaking architect studio partnership BBPR (Gianluigi Banfi (1910-1945), Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso (1909-2004), Enrico Peressutti (1908-1976) and Ernesto Nathan Rogers (1909-1969)).
The 'Elettra' lounge chair won the Gold Medal prize for design, the 'compasso d'oro', at the 1954 Triennale exhibition in Milan and was a big hit featuring on the cover pages of both the esteemed Italian design journals of the period 'Domus' and 'RIVISTA DELL' ARREDAMENTO'
