Pair of Custom-Upholstered Channel-Tufted Modernist Tub Chairs

About the Item

Circa 1960s, channel tufted, swiveling tub chairs in the manner of Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. A generous size, slightly overstuffed and very, very, comfortable. Recently restored and reupholstered in a Pantone Color of The Year for 2024, peach toned silk/linen blend by Orange Chair Company. A high end upholstery and restoration shop that provides “the best custom commercial seating in the industry. We work creatively with clients to achieve the highest level of design intent and function. in Cincinnati, Ohio.” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone Color Institute picked the peach tone color for, “embodying a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”
