About the Item

Stunning classic Danish pair of very comfortable high back armchair from the 1940s in the style of Fritz Hansen and Alfred Christensen with open armrests in beautifully carved stained beech. Nice slim elegant silhouette. Solid and sturdy construction with spring coils in the seat and backrest. Nice wear and patina to the wood. The original fabric and padding is showing wear and we recommend reupholstery. We can offer reupholstery services for these chairs at a very competitive price and are able to re-cover in lambswool or shearling.

Pair of great large scale Danish club or lounge chairs of newer fabrication in the style of 1940's chairs but likely made around 2000. We found the chairs in Denmark and based on the looks they appeared to be 1940's but upon closer review we found them to be of much newer date.
