Pair of Fine Quality Caned French Style Bergeres
About the Item
With wide square backs, the carved frames with bow crests and ribbed scrolled arms. The bleached frame with serpentine skirt rails raised on fluted tapering legs with shaped three part stretchers. Caned backs, arms and seats. With pale raw silk type down filled seat cushions.
Measures: height 35", wide 25", depth 20", seat H. without cushions 15", with cushions H. 22"
Condition: Please see all detail photos. The overall condition is very good with only slight acceptable age and use wear including a few minor age-related nicks to the frame. There are even losses to the cane finishing that may be intentional and only add to the fine presentation.
