Pair of Italian Gio Ponti Style Ebonized Lounge Chairs
About the Item
Dramatic pair of Italian Mid-Century Modern sculptural lounge chairs or wing chairs featuring a black lacquer ebonized finish. These radically redesigned wing chairs have gracefully curved frames with triangular wings and legs. The slanted ergonomic seat is fitted with loose tufted leather cushions having headrest pillows. The chairs have a bold design and whimsical profile. No makers mark, however they are crafted in the manner and style of such Italian designers as Gio Ponti and Ico Parisi. The upwardly canted arms measure 20 inches high at the tops. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with minor scratches on the lacquered finish as expected. Price is for the pair.
