Pair of Rare Lucite Cantilever Chairs after Christian Daninos, Italy 1970s
Space age design in sculptural bubble form; the half-sphere in plexiglass/lucite/acrylic is supported by a solid, flat rolled chrome-plated steel structure. Custom channeled cushions upholstered in iridescent crushed velvet. Never seen another pair like these. Unsigned. Similar to the Fauteuil Bulle by Christian Daninos. After Charles Hollis Jones and Boris Tabacoff seating designs.
