About the Item

These fantastic lounge chairs are in the Stye Of T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings, made in the US around the 1950s. Featuring hardwood frames ornately carved into faux bamboo, they are sturdy and hefty, with each chair weighing roughly 45 pounds. The backrest curves around and held up in three spots, creating playfulness between solid and negative space. They are upholstered in the original salmon colored fabric, which is pretty but does need to be replaced. In good original and shape. These chairs are very much a project, and are priced as such. Foam filling has aged and color is faded. Frames are scuffed but sturdy.
