Elegant 1940s Czech bentwood lounge chairs by Kozelka & Kropacek, reupholstered in luxurious ivory-to-cream Texel sheepskin. A warm, tactile fusion of mid-century design and natural comfort.
This pair of 1940s lounge chairs by renowned Czech designers Karel Kozelka & Antonín Kropáček showcases the elegance and craftsmanship of mid-century bentwood furniture. With their flowing armrests and refined proportions, they embody the timeless design language that made Czech modernism internationally admired—comparable in spirit and quality to the works of Jindřich Halabala.
The frames are crafted in middle-brown bentwood with a gently patinated finish, preserving their vintage character while remaining structurally solid. The upholstery is in 100% natural Texel sheepskin, prized for its softness, durability, and subtle luster. The sheepskin presents an ivory-to-cream tone with natural variations, giving each chair a unique and organic charm.
These lounge chairs offer exceptional comfort thanks to the supportive backrest, deep seat, and tactile wool texture, making them equally suited for refined living spaces, boutique hotels, or luxury lounges.
