Rare Chairs by Jan Bočan for the Czechoslovakian Embassy in Stockholm, 1972
About the Item
This chair was designed by Jan Bocan, the award-winning architect behind the Czechoslovakian embassy in Stockholm that was built in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He also designed the furniture, including this high back chair. This model has never been serial produced and was only made for the building. Possibly produced by Thonet or Ton, this chair is in original condition and has got the original fabric. The cushions are set around a dark bentwood frame with a rich woodgrain.
