About the Item

A rare pair of Arthur Court Sable chair from 1975 that we had redone in an Italian Nubuck Suede as the original were. These are pictured on page 94 in the book Arthur Court Designs 35 Years of Innovation by Arthur Court. They are extremely comfortable and quite large in scale. We have pictured them next to a large Warren Platner Big Easy Lounge Chair for scale. They are comparably sized. Then in another photo next to a Herman Miller Eames Lounge chair which they dwarf. Both of these other chairs are available on this site in our gallery. The chairs are quite substantial and heavy even though they are solid aluminum. They are stamped Mexico, were Mr. Court traveled to Juarez and had his furniture made. The aluminum frames are in good condition, we have not polished them. They have minor scuffs, marks and imperfections. The cushions and backing is completely new including the foam. The Nubuck Suede is from elegant Italian skins.
