About the Item

Lounge chairs, wool "Fuse" Raf Simons by Kvadrat, aluminum, Italy, 1970s These lounge chairs strongly remind of Giancarlo Piretti’s ‘Alky’ lounge chair (1969), yet they feature characteristic differences. Whereas the ‘Alky’ lounge chair consists of one shell, these chairs have a beautiful gap between seat and backrest. Therefore, a more light and airy expression is evoked. Like Piretti, also the designer of this version finished the legs with an aluminum frame to provide a strong line and strengthen the vivid look. Please note that the depicted photographs of these chairs show the final result of what the item will look like after reupholstery. The price on offer is valid for this final result, including fabric and labor. The reupholstered item has a current lead-time of twelve to fourteen weeks and will be performed by our experience craftsmen and -women in our in-house restoration atelier.
