About the Item

Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini for Elam, lounge chair model 'Le Farfalla', lacquered steel, fabric, plastic, Italy, design 1974 The designer duo Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini created this lovely lounge chair in 1974. 'Le Farfalla', meaning butterfly in Italian, derives its name from the wing-like structure of the frame, a shape that is further emphasized by the double jointed cushions. A visually interesting contrast is created between the rigid frame which is based on precise, geometrical shapes and the bulky cushions. The large seating area and the thick cushions ensure that it is a true delight to have a pleasant and enjoyable time while sitting on it. The artistry and innovativeness of this particular lounge chair ensures that it can be placed as a visual statement in your interior.    Kindly be aware that this lounge chair is in good, used condition.
