About the Item
A sculptural wooden lounge chair from Italy, dating to the 1980s. This elegant "Shell Chair" features a unique cocoon-like design, expertly crafted from hand-assembled birch plywood. The design of the Shell chair is inspired by both formal and structural biological references, giving it a natural and organic appearance. Its shape is reminiscent of a shell and evolves like a natural body composed of vertebrae and spine, working as a natural force and weight distribution. The chair is not only visually striking, but also ergonomically sound, as it functions as a "pillow container" that can be adjusted or filled with more or fewer pillows according to each user's needs. The two chairs available are priced per piece and come with pillows.
